Tilt Top Candle Stand

Our 18th century antique style Tilt Top Candle Stand Tea Table was originally designed to hold supplemental lighting devices such as candles and lanterns, and was used as a serving table for tea or Tea Caddies. The Tilt Top Candle Stand's small size and ability to fold down, made it both lightweight and portable. When not in use, the Tilt Top Candle Stand could be stored in an out-of-the-way corner. The three legged, tripod design also served an important purpose, by preventing tipping on the uneven floors of the Queen Anne period. The Candle Stand presents a circular dished tilt top supported by a turned ringed ball, slender shaft column and graceful cabriole legs with rounded knees.
